Cookies and website analytics.
Optional analytics stays off until you choose to accept. You can use the website without it.
GenWA Services Limited uses PostHog to understand how this website is used and improve it. Analytics is optional and relies on your consent. This notice covers website analytics and browser storage.
What we measure
- Pages visited, visits and sessions, and basic browser, device and screen information.
- How far down pages you read, and page performance measurements such as loading speed, responsiveness and layout stability.
- The referring website's domain and campaign labels, where available. We remove URL query strings and fragments from page addresses and do not send the referring page's path.
- Clicks on the GenWA Playbook download, demo buttons and email links. A click does not confirm a completed download, sent email or received enquiry.
PostHog uses a randomly generated identifier to recognise a browser. We do not identify you by name or email, send form fields, uploaded files or calculator inputs, or enable session recordings, heatmaps or advertising tracking. Campaign labels must not contain personal information.
As with any internet connection, PostHog receives a network IP address when a request reaches its servers. Our integration disables location enrichment on analytics events.
Storage and your choice
-
Your preference:
genwa.analytics-consent.v1in local storage remembers acceptance or rejection for 180 days. It is used only to respect your choice. -
Optional analytics: after acceptance, PostHog uses local
and session storage with names beginning
ph_genwa_analytics_, plus an analytics consent marker. These hold browser and session identifiers. Our integration uses local storage rather than analytics cookies. - Website controls: session storage remembers when you dismiss the announcement banner. This is separate from analytics.
-
Campaign labels: if you accept, session storage keeps the
utm_campaign labels from the link that brought you here (genwa.campaign.v1) so a visit is credited to the right campaign. It is removed when you close the tab or reject analytics. -
Consent history:
genwa.analytics-consent-history.v1in local storage keeps a list of the choices you have made in this browser, with dates and times, so you can see them below. It is stored only in your browser and holds no other information.
Your choice applies to this website address and browser. Staging and production have separate preferences. We ask again after 180 days or if your preference is cleared. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice can only last for the current page.
To withdraw consent, open Cookie settings and select Reject analytics. We stop further tracking and remove this integration's stored analytics identifiers from this browser. Withdrawal does not undo information already sent before withdrawal.

Who processes the analytics
PostHog processes analytics for GenWA using its EU Cloud service. See PostHog's privacy policy for information about its processing.
PostHog also uses Cloudflare to deliver its managed proxy service. Analytics routed through that service is processed by Cloudflare, whose infrastructure may be outside the EU. See PostHog's subprocessors for details.
For questions about your information, retention, access or deletion, email hello@genwa.co.uk, marked for the attention of our Data Protection Officer, John White. You can also contact the Information Commissioner's Office.
Online requests and bot verification
When you open an online request form on a configured website, Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated submissions. This security check is separate from optional analytics. See Cloudflare's privacy policy. We send the details you submit to GenWA's CRM so the team can respond and provide requested content. A request does not subscribe you to marketing. Form details and enquiry text are not sent to PostHog by this integration.
